Prose - Prophecy (May 21st)

Updated on May 23, 2011

As I Wonder

If the end does appear
Should I run far or lie near?
And if I hide amongst the trees
Or begin sailing the seven seas
Will he notice a mere man?
Or will my time upon this land
Be harshly judged from above?
By a God that I did not know of
Except in the exhortations of his flock
Who kept pointing at the clock
Reminding that it could happen at any time
And then it will be too late for a clever rhyme

As The Truth Is Revealed

The hour of prophecy
The nectar of revelation
A charlatan spoke
And captured the eye of the nation
Once again
The Lord's name
In unholy manner
Was taken in vain
Here we stand
With graves unopened
When will we learn
What a human has spoken
Is not the word
But merely sin
As we wander about
While false prophets plan again

In the question
What if?
Was it more than suggestion?
With painful pause
In unworthy repose
I was trapped
He made me suppose
Was the intention
Reflection all along?
My weaknesses were exposed
I did not belong
An unholy life
Never more clear
Tomorrow I live again
But today I cry in fear

@Poetic Fool - Thank you. It just seems there is an emotional disturbance or a massive ego at play with these types of people. What is interesting is that Camping appears to be truly flabbergasted.... there is no shame. The guy really thinks he knows....

It never ceases to amaze me that people continue to make these predictions even when the scriptures says that no man can know. How much regard can they hold their scripture if they think it is wrong or does not apply to them? Great piece. I enjoyed reading it.

@JinnyMarte - I'm sure you're right about that. It is a form of idol worship (in my opinion) for an earthling to become so prominently associated with the ways of Heaven. Nobody knows and it's probably better to just pray in that closet like Jesus taught and then go out and love our neighbor. And now I hear he say's he made a mistake (ya think?) and October 21st is the real date.... JEEZ!!!!

@always - we never learn... but it was written: "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven."

@syzygyastro - thank you for commenting and the nice words. I have no problem admitting to no knowledge of prophecy. I know there is the general feeling that maybe something like this might happen someday but I agree nobody will be able to figure it out. He's throwing darts and getting in his fifteen minutes of fame...

LOL I hear you my friend. I know there are many out false prophets out there but the key is to have the kind of intimacy with God that will let us identify them for what they are or what they are not...keep on writing like this...

@JinnyMarte - Thank you! I didn't really believe it... you believe me when I say that don't you? Ha... but the whole thing made me think you know?

@Powerpoe - Thank you for commenting... I may not have your absolute conviction about things but I agree no man knows if and when anything will happen.

@blondey - Thank you. I am not in fear but I am in wonder. And when you wonder you ask "what if?" And then you realize how poorly prepared you are for something like this.

@Misty - thank you for commenting. Yes I am my own worst judge and for a moment there I knew.... I am guilty...

@Jo - Thank you. I try to be myself when I write and all I can ever do is ask questions because I have no answers except one: love thy neighbor. All the rest is above my pay grade.

@Micky Dee - Thank you my friend! I think my Mother wants to go with you. For years she always said "I'm going to China!" She is a most egoless person and like you is tired of the games; obviously I am too but I have two young children that require my presence. I am hoping they are not sucked up in the money game but they are only human. Sometimes I wonder if they should read anything that I speak of because then they will be sufferers over the world and the torment of pondering over evil will consume them. Ignorance is bliss? If you do leave just remember: go somewhere with internet access my man because we need your words. And I totally understand about speaking to the choir.

This would-be prophet has built a multi-million-dollar christian media empire that publishes his apocalyptic predictions..When will we learn?

Many profiting prophets like to whip up feat, but no man knows the hour of return as it sill come as a thief in the night as Jesus spoke. Also, there is plenty of reason to support the concept of a prophecy for 70 AD when Israel was sacked and the people dispersed into the world. This is a great poem concerning a widely misdirected and misunderstood event. Voted it up!

I'm with you brother man. I need - I want - to talk myself into my last adventure. I want God to pave my way. Waiting on God is like waiting for Godot. I wait. I'll see. But it should be time for my exit. I want to sell my possessions and leave America on a world tour and - I need to lie down. I need the "colorful ending". All of my efforts in life have been spoiled by the storms of falsehoods and misdirections of a sick society. My words will never be heard but by the choir we speak to. God bless this choir. But I wait.

I should go to another country - where equality is revered over selfishness and ego.

Can I go? Will I go? And will I feel that God wants more of the same?

I am tired of bu$ine$$ as usual. India? Kashmir? China? The Himalayas? I hope. I wish. Because it's time. I hope God paves my way.

      Great write brother man!

Your answers are in your hand. (read it) You fear being judged the same as I did. I'm a world spirit guide, I had to pass judgement this side.

It was awful. A whole crowd at a table, as I stood in judgement.

I later stood in all entities that judged me. They were particle's all of my higher self.

      You are judged by yourself.

Yourself is the hardest judge there is.
