"Puke" by Eric Wayne Flynn

Updated on February 8, 2014

Sick to my stomach

Trying to feel like me again

Up Knob Creek without a paddle

Searching for answers in a bottle

There is a message in it somewhere

But I drank it

My chin; stitched to my chest

Heavy is the head that drinks the Crown

Resting on your porcelain skin

My pink pit bubblin

I hug my friend mumblin

"Thanks for taking all my shit"

      "...Sick to my stomach..."

"..."Thanks for taking all my shit..."

This is everybody's poem!: what sometimes has to be, and to have a friend alongside our belly aches...flu...etc..

The color, aroma, taste and finish of your poem all says,"vomit"- and that photograph...nice compliment!..very well chosen.

I've never been Up Knobs Creek (IOW never had bourbon whiskey), but I have made some Golden Sunshine from some large head dandelion blooms: ,it did the trick for me three winters ago when I was ailing with the flu...

LIke most, I dislike incurring medical bills for things that can be solved at home. I could never stomach Pepto Bismal when sick: (too much like the great candy my grandpa handed me when I was young: :I don't want to taste candy when I have a belly ache!)

I like how your poetry captures the transient everyday things of life giving them a turn in your own mind to your readers- you are very good at this.

      Thanks: Keep writing!
