Puppy Eyes Poem

Puppy Love

Fluffy little pup

Adorable cheeky face

Happy full of beans

Fetch the ball retrieve

Training pup to come and sit

Rewarded with treat

Big dog soon to be

Gentle yet protective one

Man's best friend indeed

Puppy Eyes

How sad they look

Full of hope

Full of wonder

Full of life

Full of love

Hug me

Hold me

Play with me

Feed me

Don’t ever leave me

Don’t give me away

I am yours

I am here to stay

Don’t forget me

Out in the cold

Don’t chain me up

Don’t let me roam

I will love you

Be loyal to you

In every way

I will protect you

From all harm

I will be your lucky charm

The picture in this hub is the first Christmas card that we received this year. I love puppies and dogs and have had it sitting on my computer desk. Because I’ve been looking at it so often I had to write what I thought the cute little darling would be saying to me, given the chance.

I love this poem. I don't know how people can mistreat dogs.

I feel bad about putting Moxie (my schipperke) outside when she makes a puddle on the carpet. She is so apologetic when I let her back in a few minutes later licking my hand and wanting me to rub her little tummy.

Aww Susan - I can't resist a puppy:). I got in trouble for pool hopping when imwas like 15 - I had to work at an animal shelter for community service. Well I loved it - and they were supposed to make me sccop poop but I charmed the people that worked there and they let me work at the front desk and take a puppy home!!

That was sooooo fun! As far as punishment goes, ya know? Lol

I love the poem, loved the puppy and now I want another one!

Audrey, Thanks. With Christmas so close there are I am sure people planning on buying pets for gifts. I think this is such a bad idea. So many animals get forgotten once Christmas day is over and I find it heartbreaking.

Tlp, Dogs are a treasure in so many ways.

      drbj, Thank you :)

Rosemay, Or forgotten gifts. Glad you liked the poems.

      Frank, Thank you.

Iris, I would have a kennel if I could afford one.

Hyphenbird, This pup is a sweetie.

I saw some adorable puppies (Shih Tsu) at a flea market yesterday and it took all my strength of will not to purchase one to bring home. Puppies represent living love. Thanks for this beautiful reminder, Susan.

What beautiful poems! I love the picture. It made me want to give my puppy a hug. (She is pouting at the moment because I won't let her sit on my lap while I am trying to type.) Pushed all the buttons!
