Questions of our Times(An inspirational Poem)

Updated on October 16, 2014
Questioning...
Questioning...
So many questions without good answers..
So many questions without good answers..
A great light within the storms of life...
A great light within the storms of life...
Dark skies may roll in...
Dark skies may roll in...
We all must stand together and strong as a mighty oak...
We all must stand together and strong as a mighty oak...
Better days are ahead, and we shall prevail, together...
Better days are ahead, and we shall prevail, together...
A new morning and fine air to breathe...
A new morning and fine air to breathe...
In splendor and majesty..we shall greet the calm...
In splendor and majesty..we shall greet the calm...

We might write answers, as a river to flow,

Answers to questions, yet, just who to know,

The correct response, so relative, you see,

So right for one, to another, opposite to be.

Why are children dieing, all to be maimed,

By diseases, to suffer, is fate to be blamed,

What of the E- virus, shall our lives to flee,

Answers in the wind, and none to agree?

Will fighting around the world, ever to end,

The dove of peace, upon the globe, to descend,

Why must countries to covet lands of brothers,

In a blatant defiance of all the others?

When will a soul, in each heart to so store,

Be more valuable than color... which to count more,

Must now family life, that media so smothers,

Seem less important than fathers and mothers?

Answers to be held, deep inside of each heart,

The presence of a bright spirit, in all of us, a part,

Solutions, as enigmas. so mysterious, hard to find,

As evidence, so obvious, soon comes to mind.

A combining of our faith, with a determined stand,

Will see us through storms, thundering over this land,

We will be prepared for tomorrow, ordained for mankind,

Living each day, in a warmest sunshine.

Change must come from within. Acceptance, respect, and brotherhood are the beginning steps to peace in the world. Great food for thought, whonu!
