Quiet The Cries

Updated on February 9, 2015

Quiet The Cries

The Heavenly skies wept,

as an angel stood watch in Heaven’s garden,

while the other angels slept,

it was not completely dark,

in the center of the garden were benches,

and this place was like a beautiful park,

near the entrances there were angel shape sculptures glowing,

waterfalls, flowing,

flowers with God’s breath, growing,

the sculptures were designed for illumination,

and that was clearly showing,

in this piece of Heaven’s nation,

the caretaker of this garden had taken pains

to create a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment

for all spirits who come here,

it helps wash away the worries and the fear,

and when the souls cross over,

it would be gentle to their eyes,

after leaving their loved one in tears,

this will help quiet the cries.

You've clearly caught a glimpse of the Other Side in this one Frank. Comforting and beautiful. They wait for us there where the streets are made of gold and there are no more tears.

Graveyard gardens blooming... I'm jealous! What a beautiful take on what is seldom portrayed that way. Most impressive.

Beautiful poem, Frank. This is very peaceful, but I have to admit that I was bracing myself for the body I was almost sure would be found.

I can imagine the bereaved starting to cry, then slowly, gently wiping their eyes as they are distracted by the beauty in "this piece of Heaven’s nation." I feel the comfort.
