Quotes can mean something different to each person and they can act as a motivational tool for the accomplishment of specific goals. I have several quotes that I refer to in order to assist me in keeping my "eye on the prize."

My motivation for sharing some of these quotes with you is so that you can continue to be inspired in working towards your endeavors whether that is pursuing a degree, starting a business or moving up within your current organization. Also, I've added some personal words of wisdom because I want you to be encouraged as you move forward and closer to your goals.

The five quotes that I will share with you today are from Greek Philosopher Aristotle, Chinese Educator/Philosopher Confucius, American Poet/Social Activist Langston Hughes, American Essayist/Poet Ralph Waldo Emerson and President Theodore Roosevelt.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit."

Words of Wisdom: Put your heart and soul into making the journey towards accomplishing your specific goals. Think about how you would want someone else to treat you or produce a product/service that showcased pure excellence.

"The man of wisdom is never of two minds; the man of benevolence never worries; the man of courage is never afraid."

Words of Wisdom: Never second guess yourself ... make a decision and stick with it. Don't worry about or be afraid of the future. Be faithful and steadfast in pursuing your goals.

Langston Hughes

"Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly."

Words of Wisdom: We all have dreams and aspirations ... it doesn't matter if you've had pitfalls or circumstances to change your set timetable. As long as you have breath in your body, move forward with excitement and persistent. Don't allow your dreams and aspirations to die because you can work hard to make them a reality.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Don't waste your life in doubts and fears: spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour's duties will be the best preparation for the hours or ages that follow it."

Words of Wisdom: Simply put ... don't doubt, worry or fear - keep pressing!

Theodore Roosevelt

"It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed."

Words of Wisdom: We don't like failure; however, if you never try then you won't know what can be in the future regardless of your present situation.

I hope that some of these quotes were inspirational to you. I would really love to hear what some of your favorite quotes are that keep you motivated and moving forward in the pursuit of your dreams.

Always remember to keep the faith, stay focused and stay motivated!

Until next time ...
