Rumba, a poem of dance and desire

As we dance, I look at you,

Deeply into your eyes,

Tenderly at your face.

And I can feel the passion,

Growing from the music

And the rhythm of your hips.

Your right hand in my left

Moves and communicates,

While my other hand,

Wrapped around your waist,

Contours the tempo

Of your undulating body.

Your eyes are burning mine.

I have to look away.

For I don't have the strength,

Nor the will to resist you.

Forget the surrounding people,

I am alone with you.

The touch of my hands

Becomes more implied,

As I gently pull you

Slightly closer to me.

And the power of desire

Increasingly possesses me.

As soon as this dance is over,

Take me away,

Take me anywhere,

But take me...

I should be so lucky to know this feeling...being loved by the one who leads the dance. Thank you for sharing your words, planting the wish!

You are absolutely right, nikashi designs, dancing creates a special bond between people and this is an activity I practice every week. I resisted learning for decades thinking of it as a girly thing to do. Was I wrong ! Thank you for your kind words

Perfect...know this feeling very well and can visualize the entire sequence as it progresses. Nothing in the world makes you feel as good when dancing with a woman especially when you love her.
