Raindrops on my window ...

Updated on May 26, 2010

By: KyAuna Mills

Have you ever just taken the time to just sit and watch the rain fall? Have you ever noticed how truly magnifisent the rain really is? Have you ever just listened to it fall? Do that next time it rains and you will be able to understand the beauty I speak of here. I've always admired the way a raindrop will fall, some times slanted and other times straight. The design it makes when its liquid crystal bodies collide with my bedroom window. The sound alone draws goose bumps to my skin and I can feel the cool air it brings with it make its way slowly through the glass between us. The uneven sounds of them pounding harder against the window as they fall faster yet still I can hear a slight rhythem hidden in there. I crack my window and can smell the rain, there is no other smell like it. There is nothing so fresh.I find on days like this I can loose myself for hours as I stare out the window at the beauty all around me.Very few think of rain as graceful but I am one of them. My imagination carries me away on so many small adventures and soon i will find myself either with my laptop or a pad of paper and pen in my hands. Sometimes I can see faces in the dribbles on my window pane. I find peace from watching them run down the glass and pool on the sill on the other side. What dream will the rain cast for me this time? Pirates perhaps or maybe something else? When you have something as pure as rain and as untamable as your imagination...anything is possible.

      Hi, KyAuna,

God bless you. You are a compassionate and caring soul. I am glad to hear that you are doing this venture-- which will be a great way to establish a base for advertisers and such. And you will have more freedom to write and publish what you want.

Congratulations to you. I pray only the best for you.

But hey, do NOT stop following me. I know this sounds selfish, and it may be, but I need you in my world to advise me at times and give me a few words of encouragement.

I have to go for now.

I will see you on HP.

      Kenneth

I am so very sorry to hear about health complications, my mother has Fibromyalgia and Lupus so I have some idea what it is you are going through. I am sincerely sorry that you are having to go through it, I know my mother is miserable and I am not surprised. Your words of encouragement gave me the push I needed to start my own magazine (Starving Magazine http://www.blurb.com/books/5330616-starving-magazi... ). Though I have only one other writer :-D but it is a start and even though I can't pay her for anything I am so happy to have her, its nice to share the writing load with her. Our next one will come out next Wednesday. So far there is no profit from this but I am hopeful that it will be sooner rather than later, and the more writers I get (though I cant pay) the more subjects that can be covered and the better it will be.

So thank you again for the extra little push you gave to me go ahead and just do it.

I wish you the absolute best,

      KyAuna~

      Hi, KyAuna,

My pleasure. They are the truth, the words I said to you. I had much rather encourage a writer or anyone doing something for only a moment than spend an entire week tearing them down.

I admire your writing talent. It's fresh, intelligent, and creative.

And I also admire you for staying with it. You are a wise young woman.

I am also thankful that you chose to follow me. That means the world to me because you see, in 2003, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, an incurable disease of the bones, muscles and nerve-endings coupled with Neurothopy that feels like fireants biting and now my family doctor has found out that I have Thrombosclorois, an inurable circulation problem that lead to congestive heart failure.

But, I am not telling you this to stir your sympathy. I am telling you this because I trust you.

And having found a new writer friend like yourself on HP makes my time on this website worthwhile.

I wish you the best, but YOU can visit me or write me anytime.

      Sincerely,

      Kenneth

Thank you very much Mr. Avery for all the kind and encouraging words. I've written quite a 'few' novels though none have been published. I really appreciate your comment I have been recently doubtful of my writing ability. Thinking perhaps my work only seems to be pleasant to myself. I've been trying to find a writing job but when you're a stay at home mom and military wife with no further education than high school people tend not to care if you're willing to give it your all because you don't hit the bar for their standards. I write anymore to keep me sane, stories & dialog are constantly swirling around in my head and if I don't get it written down then it will even keep me up at night until I do ha-ha. But I have always been this way, before I could write I would tell stories surprisingly well for a small child and I've even kept my very first written story from when I was a child. It isn't very good but I suppose it was alright for that early age :) Writing has been apart of me my whole life and I cherish it. I am not me if I'am not writing.

Thank you again kind Mr. Avery for your much needed words of encouragement.

      Hello, Youngwife,

I really enjoyed this hub. You will not believe this. It is raining where II live in northwest Alabama on April 24. Ironic, huh?

You have a real talent for writing. I voted Up and all of the things to push because you really deserved it.

Are you going to write any novels in the future? I hope so, because your wrting skills can and will touch so many lives.

I am going to leave you some fan mail and then become one of your followers.

I would consider it a great honor if you would check out one or two of my hubs and be one of my followers.

      Sincerely,

      Kenneth
