Rain:A Zen Poem

Updated on May 22, 2013

Water is falling slowly

Down to my roof.

I went outside to see

Water droplets everywhere.

It looks like the clouds are

The rain looks like teardrops.

The noise is thunderous.

It taps, taps, taps.

It cries over my roof.

My hand is soaking wet when

I put it out into the rain. It feels

Smooth and cold. It squishes in

my shoes.

The rain is fresh, I can tell, it's salty.

It's watery, so watery out here. It's fresh water. It's clean and green.

I sit here, watching the rain

And dream.
