Raindrops Like Copper Diamonds

(Autumn Night Rain)

Wet kisses on my windowpane

Thousands of fluttering times

I kiss you back, Autumn Rain

You are musing, ignoring gloomy signs.

Stormy winds waltzing, singing

Hope is the thing, no crying for the better

Your every drop, blessings from Heaven

The sweetest joy to endless laughter

Till we wait for sunshine mornin' at seven.

The room hushed in silence

As I listened only to murmurs from the skies

I have longed for your presence

Silken in silver and copper diamonds

Right before my eyes.

I love you, Night Rain

Your visits have my nights into exile

My mind mellow, weakened, but sane

Your glowing smiles make it all worthwhile.

ishwaryaa, I'm so happy of your nice comments. Rain just not symbolizes tears as they say if you are sad, angels in heaven cry with you. Rain can be blessings too especially on wedding days and to the farmers' crops. Rain for one is anything that touches our moods and feelings, and the special craving for something better to eat (hot meal), lol. Thank your for dropping by like a beautiful raindrop.

Oh yes, tin roof! Galvanized iron roof! It make a pretty pattering sound. Memories of rain back home...missing the wet season in the Philippines. My brother and I played with paper boats or boats from coconut husks which we stick up little flags and let them float away through rushing waters caused by rain. Thank you, Gypsy Rose Lee for sharing your thoughts and passing on this hub.

Voted up and awesome. Rain can be so soothing. I really enjoyed this. My favorite childhood memories are of country rain on a tin roof. Love the sound. Passing this on.

Oh wow this is so awesome. The video was sensational - so romantic. It was raining heavily here this morning and I snuggled up to my loved one. There is nothing better than being wrapped up in love and watching and hearing the sounds of the raindrops on the window pane. What a great hub, voting up and pressing those buttons too.

Hi Cris! Don't you wish for a little rain now so our sleep will be as cozy and a peaceful slumber under the sheets? It is 11:11 pm and I am heading to bed a little early tonight, catch some dim lighting in the room, ghost stories, a murmur of prayer afterwards...all feeling comfortable. Have a good night and sleep well my dear friend. Warm hugs!

Hi always exploring! How is it in Southern Illinois? Now the days have been better, cold and mild sometimes, but never can complain whenever it rains. I miss the warm rain in the tropical Philippines where I can be outside soaking under a heavy downpour. That is why I never liked carrying an umbrella. Rainy days are beautiful, refreshing, comforting and makes me crave for homemade garlic fried rice, scrambled eggs and dried fish.

Love to you, always exploring! Thank you for dropping by.

So poignant! I'm mystified but the raindrops soothes my soul.

      Lovely!

I am imagining all what you are saying, Rich. I love the sound of heavy rain, even the sight of it, as it is more visible how rain falls diagonally or straight from the sky...the little ripples and splatters it make as it reaches its point to the ground...the swoosh and swish of wind and rain in "one" romancing the trees and yes, the leaves as how you've mentioned it...the thunderbolts and lightnings are the strong elements of heaven's orchestra (leaving me memories of my grandpa's LP collection of marches, waltzes and the orchestras.)

Thank you for a very lovely comment, Rich. Keep well and though we adore the rain, I wish for sunshine too to shine upon you. Cheers!

I love sleeping with the window cracked and the light rain pattering through the leaves on the trees. Even, the sound of light thunder in the background is comforting. Really a nice poem, Tess. Great Job!

Thank you aviannovice. It is indeed a perfect time to a restful nap when it is raining and the craving for a certain hot meal. Have a lovely day! Today in Toronto is 8 degrees C, but warm.

Superb! I like to fall asleep to the rain, for I tend to awaken refreshed. Your wording for the rain and what it means to you is wonderful.
