Democracy in Town Hall??

Updated on January 8, 2015
Source

Vote taken

The politicians sit and talk

champaign bottles

pop their cork

pats on the back

and secret deals

perks of the job

and four course meals

"we got ourselves here

fair and square

he he ho ho,

least that's what the public

think".

With eye brows raised

and lids that they wink,

"there's always the moaners and shirkers

you know,

trust me my jolly good fellow,"

"why can't they trust us

weve not been invaded

have we yet?

With all those strange shows

like Breaking The Set."

The public aren't stupid

the truth we will get

the flashy cars

and bankers deals

won't last long

as the economy

reels

the public's voice

will have to be heard

and politicians

be true

to their word

economy, ecology

and social need

have moral basis

to decisions

they must heed.

Thanks ImKarna23,you're quite right ,don't give up,but don't burn yourself out either. Online petitions are having amazing results in UK,and also some worldwide ones as well, and very easy for public to sign.

Thanks lovemychris,I don't think the public are generally stupid, just that we are all being 'hoodwinked' by politicians and media a lot of the time. As Imkarna commented above ,also people are kept too busy generally just to survive each day.Regards Ch

Well, I think the public is stupid, and we get what we deserve. 2010 did it.

      Now we pay.

      just mo.
