Random Things; Funny Stuff

Updated on August 19, 2017

I was a registered nurse for 25+ years. Working mainly in the operating room, I've been everything from staff nurse to Director of Nursing.

Ever wonder what people do with their spare time?  WikiAnswers tells you that they eat, sleep, cook, iron, talk...go on the internet.  That's what I like to do.  I could do something useful while I am on the internet, and I do occasionally.  But what I do most of the time is just look up some random funny stuff.  Here is some of the things I find funny.

This poor man, I probably shouldn't laugh...but I couldn't help it!

Strange Things People Do

It's amazing the things some people do. I read an article telling about a man who stole some lobsters. He stuffed them in his pants and attempted to run from the store. It seems instead of lobster he got a vasectomy. Luckily the store owner did not press charges.

Then there is the boy in Utah who let 43 snails crawl on his face. He is hoping to break into the Guinness Book of World Records. Seems you have to let them stay on your face for 10 seconds. The previous record was 36 snails.

A man in Bedford, OH called 911 because his son refused to clean his room. The funny part of this story is that his son is a 28 year old man who is a member of the local school board.

This poor guy lost his luggage!

More Random Funniness in the World

When asked a question about Confucius, a Miss Panama contestant stated that he was the one who created confusion.

A suspected drug dealer in Indiana stopped at Taco Bell for "one last burrito" while being chased by police.

A man attempting to smuggle songbirds into the United States was caught when an inspector noticed bird droppings on his socks.

I will never be able to listen to this Sugar Ray song again.

More Randomness

In London a drunk couple was caught having sex on the lawn outside Windsor Castle. They did this in broad daylight with many people around. It is reported that tourists were taping the act. Seems they were arrested and given a written warning.

You've heard the old story about a bull in a china shop, well, here is a new one about a bull in a supermarket. Click on the "watch video" link below to see the bull running around.

A woman received an invitation to go to her 10 year high school reunion. Instead of going herself, she hired a stripper to impersonate her. She then watched it from a nearby hotel room.

More Funny Randomness

Police received a call stating there was a baby in a trash can at the local Wal-Mart. While investigating they found out it was just a burrito. (Must have been a BIG burrito.)

Then there was the time an Australian military vehicle disappeared after being painted...the paint job? Camouflage!

How about the man who wanted the "hell" taken out of "hello"?

There was a school board candidate who was running unopposed. He lost because not one person cast a vote.

Lane County spent $250,000 to publicize it's lack of funds. The powers that be hoped this would convince residents to raise taxes.

An 82 year old woman fell and broke her hip in the lobby of a Niagara Falls hospital. The staff made her call an ambulance before they would help her. (Say What??!!)

There was a dwarf who sued a grocer because of the grocer's belittling remarks.

I hope they are drinking OJ

Did you hear the tale of the fireman who was giving CPR to a kitten? Turns out he inhaled and accidentally swallowed the kitten.

A 20 year old woman was able to escape her kidnappers while they were trying to figure out how to drive her car. It had a stick-shift and I guess they were automatic guys.

A man, emptying his trash down a chute, accidentally dropped his phone in also. As he leaned over to look in he fell in after it.

This 12 year old was home playing hide and seek with her friend. She hid in the pullout couch and got stuck there. The two had to call 911 to come help.

Oh, K@ri. This compilation has something to tickle every funny bone (and possibly even funnebone, although I haven't seen him around in awhile).

Without even seeing the video, the concept of someone hiring a stripper to impersonate her at her reunion -- that is priceless!

Here's one to add to the list -- and it's true, although not yet documented anywhere but here. This afternoon I gathered up the sheets and pillowcases from my bed to wash them. I rolled them into a ball, tossed them into the washer, added soap, and pressed the button. About 5 minutes later I was looking for my cell phone. Yep. You guessed it. I was able to stop the washer and get the phone out. Dried it with a dryer then took the battery out. All pieces are still drying out. I'm not overly optimistic. And I'm not even blonde:-)!

It's hard to choose favorites as they are all funny! What a fitting way to end my day - I'd go to bed laughing or at least with a stupid smile on face! I appreciate the effort that you must have exerted to come up with the "random funninesses"! Thanks for the laughs :D

Frieda, I fixed the link, thanks for letting me know. I really needed to do this since I have been trying for the 30 in 30 days. I thought maybe others may enjoy the comic relief also!

Shadesbreath, It was great fun making it...this is what I do to relax!

Catlyn, It is necessary to laugh in life, don't you think?

May, I couldn't help but laugh either! The paramedics dropping him was the last straw! BTW--I think that kitty would be perfect for you!

I couldn't help but laugh at the poor guy, who drove through the glass patio doors, blown from the toilet, and had his collarbone broke in one day!?

The hired a stripper link didn't take, the bull one shows up again.

I laughed so hard at these. That songs on, that poor poor guy, it was not his day! It's so horrible it's funny. The dismembered suitcase! roflmao! The biscuits! How embarrasing! And what are the chances of the airplane thing happening? roflmao again! Amazing photos in the video above the cup and yes I did a double take on the guy in the pool myself (heehee). Chair lunch dinner, that's a good one. The duck and bread joke cracked me up too. Okay, I'm basically doing a recap! Jeez! Well this is fantastic! I had a blast reading and watching. Thanks k@ri!
