Reaching The Shore

Updated on August 12, 2012

A poem of the sea.

When the next wave finally reaches the shore,

After crossing the whole, wide, blue sea,

Why does it go back to where it was before?

Just to be. Just to be. Just to be.

Perhaps Summer 2017 has seen you at a beach and wondering what I wondered as I watched and observed the timeless cadence of the sea?

A recent riddle: "What did the ocean say to the shore?"

      Answer: "Nothing, it just waved."

This is Pioneer Day in the State of Utah. May youhave a wonderful day, wherever you are, and whatever righteous efforts you may be making this day and going forward.

Gypsy Rose Lee & cherylone: Not many HP points for saying things in a few lines of a few words, but satisfying nonetheless when folks like you and the others comment with approval and sharing. Thanks.

Love the sea and the lapping waves. Beautiful pic. The cycle of life as the waves is never ending.

"Just to be." For the sea, it is sufficient. For man it must be more, and the being is the struggle, as real as the pulse which imitates the rythms of the waves crashing on the shore. Our pulse varies with stress, love, danger, sadness, and crisis. The ocean is massive. The heart which allows us "Just to be" weighs about half a pound empty. Somewhere within us there is "a spark of divinity" which weighs even less and goes with us eternally... just to be.

Question asked and answered, just to be. That may be the answer to all life's questions. People tend to make life too complicated, it is "just to be." Great and voted up!

A good lesson for us, just to be, as well. Thank you.

Life is a circle, repeating endless cycles. This is short but lovely my friend.
