Reasons Why Writing Is One of the Hardest Jobs Ever

Updated on June 19, 2017

GalaxyRat is fond of rats and writing. And dark poetry. She knows that people don't like all these things together... but who cares?

1. You have to buy pencils and paper

Unless, of course, you write on stone with a knife!

2. Your hand gets tired

Really, really, really tired, no matter if it's typing or by hand!

3. You can't think of enough ideas

And then, AND THEN, when you do, guess what happens? You gotta mold it!

4. People won't read your stuff

...until you shove it down their throats.

5. You have to remember what characters are who

OK, you may not deal with this, but sometimes I get my characters mixed up...

6. Your publisher hates it

And suddenly you hate him.

Do some or all of these reasons fit you?

Haha, I usually work out the ending first!

Writing can sometimes be a challenge. I can always create a beginning and an end, but its the middle I always find my struggles when writing fiction. I also have to agree with most of these.

Yep, sorry. Editing it, making it better, ya know. Probably gonna make a new one for it. You'll see it sometime next week, all same rules though. You can start writing your entry. :)

I have to agree with most of these, Galaxy :) What happened to your poetry challenge post? I can't find it.

And the pay and respect aren't always great.
