Reasons for Stepping Back (RSB) PART-1
Continued From Success and Failure go side by side by Felishiya
1st RSB: Lack of Enthusiasm.
El entusiasmo es un elemento vital para el exito individual de cada hombre o mujer. (Enthusiasm is a vital element towards the individual success of every man or woman.)
There is a popular story of Abraham Lincoln, the former US President. He had a strong will to be at this post but before that he faced myriads of tragedies in his life – his business was ruined, he lost many senatry races, at an early age he also lost his beloved and at 54, he became the President of US. Despite of all these incidents in his life, he never lost his enthusiasm to get at this post.
So why do you step back? You only live once, but once is more than enough if you live it well……….so never loss your enthusiasm for what you want to achieve.
As it is said, Enthusiasm releases the drive to carry you over obstacles and adds significance to all you do.
2nd RSB: Lack of Self-esteem.
La autoestima significa la confianza en uno mismo para conquistar sus deseos. (Self-esteem means confidence in oneself to conquer their desires.)
Most of you usually lose your confidence when you fail in doing something, it makes you feel as if you are unable to do anything or it is not for you. Isn't it? Just relax, failure is the first step to success. Never lose your confidence because that is the only thing which will make you closer to your dreams. I remember a very famous story of an author and a painter.
Let us first discuss about the author for most of you must be quite familiar with her name. She faced lots of rejection when she went to publish her first novel. May be the publishers did not find her work up to the mark but she did had confidence in herself and in her writing. Finally, a publishing company named Bloomsburry liked her work and published it.
Today, her novel is living in the heart of everyone with it’s magic. Till now, you all must have guessed her name for sure, that’s JK Rowling and her world-famous Harry Potter series. Just imagine, if she would have lost her self-esteem and stopped trying. Would we ever have this entertaining and mesmerizing Harry potter series of novels? Never...
Be yourself. There is something that you can do better than any other. Listen to the inward voice and bravely obey that.
Best Selling and Amazing Book by J.K. Rowling
May be like JK Rowling, you also have some creative thing in yourself which can mesmerize the world. So, why do you stop when your life does not stop from going on and on. Never lose your self-esteem if you ever get stuck in mid of your dreams. Just move on with full confidence and attitude for there is better opportunity waiting for you ahead in your life.
There is one more famous personality that I remember who never ever lost her confidence and dedicated her life completely to her work. Her name is Frida Kahlo, one of the famous Mexican painters. Her life was full of struggles .She suffered from polio at a very young age and had to go through many operations in her lifetime. Kahlo’s life was short-lived but in this very short period of time, she gave us many of her best artistic works. She had the strong will to be a painter and never allowed her illness to interfere in her work. Because of her spirit, she proved her life to be worthwhile in spite of the difficulties she had to face.
Besides, having full self-esteem and enthusiasm, it is necessary to work in the same direction with lots of hard work and concentration. Unfortunately, most of you do not like to do so. You want your things to happen at the magic of a wand. But does it really work? Obviously, the answer is no.
Life is very beautiful and thrilling; never get afraid by these injuries. If you ever feel so, then remember Frida and her commitment to her work .Power is within you friend, just feel it whole-heartedly.
3rd RSB: Lack of Hard Work.
Una frase muy antiguo que dice: “El trabajo duro es la clave del exito” y de edad es de oro. (A very old phrase which says “Hard work is the key to success” and old is gold.)
Unless you will not work on your dreams, how can you think yourself to be successful? You will fail for sure. That is not at all a good thing but not bad enough as well, it will make you more alert and experienced and you will work hard then which you were supposed to do earlier. Just remember one thing “Future is always built by the restless.”
If you have read Ignited Minds written by the ex-President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, then he has shared a very inspiring experience of his college life in the book, when he had to complete his project within three days on the order of the director of the institute, which was supposed to be done in few weeks. Dr. Kalam had to spend that days sleeping on the bench. There was only one thing in his mind that he did not want to be called a failure, so he just concentrated only on one thing and worked hard. And it is not at all shocking that he did his task within the allotted time with full perfection.
You being a failure or successful depends on yourself. If you ever get fail, never stop because you will never get success unless you are a failure.
Pele, an ex-Brazilian footballer and a very famous name in the world of football, was turned down repeatedly when he tried for the first time to enter in the team. Today, what will you call him a failure or a football legend? The answer is obvious.
So, never call yourself a failure as the opportunities are not finished yet. If you are trying for a job, go find it. If you have given your 100 per cent and have the full confidence, then go ahead. Never lose your enthusiasm if you are knocked down by the first company. At the end, everything is good, if it is not good, then it is not the end. Result is not in your hand, you just have to keep on trying.
No matter to what place, you belong. Do read this amazing book, "Wings of Fire" by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. A true inspiration for the lifetime.
