Reflections of a Parent

Updated on June 17, 2017

Watching my grandkids grow

Right in front of my eyes

Everyday a new experience

Everything a new surprise

It seems like only yesterday

My kids were their size.

Where does the time go

Zooming by so fast

And every precious moment

Doesn’t ever last

While they are growing up though

Man, it’s such a blast.

The old saying that goes

Time flies when you’re having fun

The truth of which is there

When a child’s life has just begun

So innocent, and oh so pure

But just as intense as the sun.
