"Relentless" by Eric Wayne Flynn

"Relentless"

Relentless

Charging

Up

Gaining

Energy

Jazzed from the places I've been

I conduct my life with my baton, my pen

My fountain

My youth

My truth

Out of my spout

A leaky faucet

Dripping from the tip

Black ink against white, simulating lips

Smacking together

Holding my tongue

In my hand

I speak through you

Can I speak for us?

Fine I'll just speak for me

Splish, splash

Life speaks

Taking a bath

Drying up

Withering away

Taking all that I've got

To say, afloat

Head above water

Body beneath the blue

Treading

Mind above

Dreading

The day when the page is smooth and fresh

Staring me in the face

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide

Nothing to say

Writing is an art, a passion and at times a curse, this was a great write that I'm sure many can empathise with

I agree with Jodah, sometimes I feel like my mind is blank as a page and my pen is out of ink to0. It feels like a battle when one moment your revved up full of power and energy and the next you feel spent; but that doesn't last long either at least not for me. I love the struggle wouldn't have it any other way.

I like this...you can speak for me too, my pen's out of ink at the moment....that's the same as my brain being out of thoughts....searching for something to put on that blank page.
