Relevance

Updated on August 23, 2014
Source

Are we relevant?
Will we be relevant in another five years
What will our relevance be a million years from now?
If energy were free
Would we do anything differently?
What trophies would we sit upon our mantle?
What really counts that we are not counting on?
Do we take time to ask the relevant questions?
We must consider everything in relevance
What are we doing?
Why are we doing it?
What should we stop doing?
Why are we still doing it today?
Can we find a way
To explain things simply
Not everything determines success the same way
Is growth the most important thing?
Do we always need profits?
Some investments look attractive
But also take away freedom of choice
And focus things away from the main line
Somethings are none of our business
What counts that we are not figuring into the equation?

I wish more folks would contemplate what you have here. I most especially liked the following... "Some investments look attractive

But also take away freedom of choice

And focus things away from the main line " I think you just summed up world politics in a eloquent nutshell.

Thank you so much Poetvix, your words are kind praises and always very appreciated. This one came out of the blue, as I suppose all the better poems do. You are a wonderful, yet wisely critical muse. Keep on Hubbing. Blake4d
