Remember The Days (poem)

Updated on October 5, 2012

Remember the days when kisses did flow

Two carefree lovers once put on a show

We were so happy and what did we know

Just hold this dream tight and never let go

-

Our love took us to the day we were wed

Remember the days when kisses did flow

As we set our plans for future ahead

And worries of day were cast from our bed

-

As we grew familiar we lost our light

The tiniest ember would start a fight

Remember the days when kisses did flow

For lovers like these now blind in the night

-

Now age restored glances of long ago

As memory’s winds were welcome to blow

The look in our eyes says I love you so

Remember the days when kisses did flow

I loved listening to Andy sing that old favorite. What a soothing reminder of what times was -- remembering the days. I hope couples will remember those days when they run into the mundane lifestyle.

      I remember oh so well

      The love that did dwell

      In our hearts so true.

Until he wanted a he, who knew?

I think you captured the way things usually go. Beautiful and a little sad.

I miss those days. I seems as though they are gone forever. The lovely songs. The songs/videos today are so different.

      Oh me, dearest Mh,

Such melancholy thoughts of that initial spark from the start. We must try to remember or . . . nothing. Sad one here, but such is life, but not if we just try and change things up a bit each day. I have always found that variety is truly the spice of life. Voted Way Up, except funny.

God Bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Ah, Mhatter, the blessings of age,

      Eyesight dims and memories fade.

No more rancor, no more rage.

That lovers match in heaven was made.
