Renovation of a Heart ~ a Poem
We make our own choices
Choices of the heart
Don’t let regret tear you apart.
If your heart sees doubt blowing in the air
Your heart’s window needs a little repair.
If your heart feels cold to even notice care
Fix your heart’s heat to warm the smallest despair.
If he’d lost the key in vain to your heart’s door
Have a new key made for him or even more.
If the door to your heart is in a rot
Have you shut that door hard, forgiving not?
If your heart bleeds in your sleep, “what is there to keep?” you ask
Patch the wound with prayers, again not weep, a simple task.
If your heart is hard as stone to say “I’m sorry”
Carve it out and fill in softness to its glory.
Anywhere in your heart you desire
A beautiful love, a dedication
It’s time for a heartful renovation.
