Resplendence of the Breaking Dawn

Updated on July 15, 2017

As the dark of night runs its length, its restful hours,

The moon does fade away, all its shadowing bowers.

The morning sun does rise from sleep, soon towers,

A cooling breeze sways the trees and vibrant flowers.

Aloha, Al-Veterseine, Audi, so long, friends the stars,

Good by planets of the system, Saturn, Venus, Mars.

Hello to warm sunshine, the wondrous dawning lights,

Billowing clouds to spell out messages in their flights.

Now the daylight has resumed, all of darkness is consumed,

The stirring birds, the rooster announces day, as presumed.

Bright visions greet the eye, as a winging hawk I soon to spy,

In circles dancing, spirit chancing, to prevailing winds on high.

A resplendent new beginning so greets every now rested soul,

Each creature responds, opens sleepy eyes, takes on their role.

Eager trees, limbs full of greening leaves, landscapes to unfold,

Magnificent sights stored within our minds, memories all to hold.

I often want to make myself be awake and present when the night turns into the day. There is something sacrosanct at this period of the day. I wish I didn't miss so many. Thank you for reminding me whonu.

I really like this. For some reason I feel like I have cheated myself if I get up after the sun.
