Resplendent

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

Resplendent the tears of joyful bliss,

when lovers unite their lips to kiss,

their souls entwined in surrendered love,

are mirrored in the eyes of soft white doves,

in pristine flight and freedom bound,

as loving hearts in joy resound.

Warm caresses and gentle touch,

revive emotions missed so much,

while eyes do search for deepest cause,

imbuing love and time remorse,

when parted souls rejoice in whole,

angels sing and world resolves.

Words unsaid are known at sight,

with minds attuned and senses right,

as glowing hearts sigh relief,

as worlds unite and life repeats,

in perfect rhyme and words release,

a wave of tranquil love and peace.

For time and space hold no chains,

on lovers parted, love remains,

expectant souls their yearning found,

can never diminish their strength and ground,

a foundation of unyielding faith,

their love a life of bliss to make.

I think the rhythm and rhyme scheme are well-suited to a love poem. I enjoyed this, and look forward to reading more of your poetry.

the form of a same / almost parallel count of the meter of each couplet breaks the ability for it to be read lyrically, only joking play poetry gets away with this measure but i did like the innocent saying and youthful joyfullness, voted up, but not good enough to follow, from a lover of the word sssssssssss be cool and read mine, i recommend my four love poems hub or my two poems on what i am looking for
