Responsibility ( a poem of inspiration)

Updated on July 9, 2016
wasteful times...
wasteful times...

Accountability, being thoughtfully responsible for actions and for the futures of all,

Justifiably, adult decisions, have a lasting effect and provision for children, our call.

Flooding the world with poisoned waters, filling air breathed with gases and waste,

Clearing the earth of trees and greenery, terrible attributes in these times of haste.

We must consider...take responsibility for our children's futures...
We must consider...take responsibility for our children's futures...

Destruction of coral reefs, killing of fish and other sea creatures, such a travesty,

Dumping crude oil and chemical wastes into the pristine oceans, a catastrophe.

Continued burning and expelling black coal and its residual effects acts of insanity,

Using gasoline, as refined petroleum, as vehicle propulsion, defines impracticality.

An end to the misconduct of human kind must be realized for future existence to be a practicality.
An end to the misconduct of human kind must be realized for future existence to be a practicality.

Destroying seeds, their genetics, preventing reproduction, as incomprehensibility.

All for greed and making others dependent upon one source, a form of criminality.

Wanton eradication of all creature species, as elephants and cats, inconceivability,

The poisoning of insects responsible for pollination, as bees, certain destructibility.

eradication of insects, as the bees that pollinate, critical for alls survival...

The deliberate injection of chickens with steroids, so harmful, irresponsibility,

Animal's food processing, adding hormones and antibiotics, unacceptability.

Wrongful use of humans as test subjects by the drug industry, an immorality,

Abusing alcohol and opioids, a common mis-practice, as an unreasonability.

Our survival is at stake and we must guard against misuse and destroying our own civilization...
Our survival is at stake and we must guard against misuse and destroying our own civilization...

Responsibility, all's accountability, are representative of adulthood, its plausibility,

Immaturity, when given free will, prevents success, and growth, as a deniability.

Will we as species on the face of this planet, end our own lives, as a probability,

Our incessant misuse of this earth, our greatest gift of life, to be an eventuality?

We have misused our natural resources and poisoned our people. Let's pray we will reverse this trend. You have posted a great message of truth!

Yes, there is always a lot of room for improvement in this world. I hope that I did not say too much in stating that there is an awful lot of room for improving. Sometimes words have a big effect on those who listen and who knows, they just might pass the message on as a positive domino effect. Thanks my friend and blessings. whonu

You have described our world I'm sorry to admit. Greed has taken over every aspect of our lives. Responsible people must wake up to reality. Thank you for sharing...
