"Riding with Miles and Dave" by Eric Wayne Flynn
"Riding with Miles and Dave"
In hot pursuit of the 22
Woozy from the morning paying me it's dews
Hoppin up on to the 22 I pay my way
I stumble but keep my balance as I pick my seat
First I check to see if it's wet
Dry, all clear, so I sit down for my session
I proceed to get my fix
My friend Dave has now entered the mix
I take five, chewing on a "Take Five", listening to "Take Five"
I'm a good listener, so shit I'll take ten
Headed downtown, you can call me "Mr. Broadway"
As we ride a "Strange Meadow Lark" lands on my shoulder
Taking flight, away, way into my brain
A pacifier with wings to ease my pain
The next stop is a few Miles away
I say "So What" as I draw "Sketches of Spain"
Sipping on some "Bitches Brew", I've acquired a taste
Jazz sounds delicious, wrapping me up in it's sweet embrace
I ride smiling
Inside; Dave and Miles continue to swim into my canal and down into my belly
Warming me up as good friends always do
I arrive at my stop, Miles and I get "Right Off"
It's a good thing because I've got a half hour to kill
I've got a date with "Audrey", we are watching the sun set together
