Niagua River
Niagua River

The fog creeps down the river,

And begins to filter thru the woods nestled upon the bank.

The immediate world becomes

Still and silent as it is enveloped by the dark and dank.

With ease, a feeling on edge

Rises about the air that lightly swirls and dances

Shadows become lost as all

Dimensions fade to gray and reality becomes chances.

In this river haze there is

An awesome force that tugs at our deepest spiritual parts.

Asking us to open our eyes,

To faith, so we will begin to see with our loving hearts.

It is into this fog we face and

Release our fears, renew our strengths, and grow Holy

We give thanks to the stillness

Of the river’s veil, for in it, can be found grace and glory.

Poem from the collection of "PAINTING WITH WORDS POETRY.

Sometimes one can find things in the strangest places and are most surprise by what he/she thought could never be.

It is a great poem of endeavor and awakening of spirit.

      I got the message.

Good write. It stirs the heart as well as the mind. You take us to places we have never experienced before.
