River Song (poem)

Updated on October 30, 2015

I cast a song along a river’s bed

Entwined with all your favorite designs

Of melodies in moonbeams up ahead

Till in your arms the last refrain resigns

-

I kiss the swells caught drifting by my song

Enticing lavish longings to my shores

Of lovers hearts which yearn to join along

Till a chorus lost in heavens sores

-

So free the pulse of passion locked inside

While this river floats us to a sea

Where beats of rhythm come on like a tide

I’ll hearken to your tones so caringly

-

And when at last the final tide does sweep

I’ll kiss my love a gentle song to sleep

Music only

Martin, this is wonderful. The emotion that comes through your words is strong, yet gentle. I love the romantic side of you!
