River (poem)

Updated on January 2, 2013

He looks upon the river down below

Which flows to meet its timeless destiny

A wonder which was once so close to he

To serve a purpose never meant to know

A dream he had which flowed for all to see

And rich the sparkle of their morning glow

As flowers kissed the shores which blessed their flow

The river of forgotten memory

Such clarity tossed as hardships were crossed

The trials the sorrows the deep scars of pain

The depth of their unknown affairs were there

Yet refreshing the waves of Joy mid the cost

And life which mere words could never explain

He looks upon the river loving her

Your use of imagery and flow was beautiful, filled with symbolism and depth. I thoroughly enjoyed the music video which I had never heard before. Quite nice!
