Rivers Flow (poem)

Updated on December 4, 2013

Rivers flow

Rivers flow

Out to the ocean

Out to the waiting eternity

Passed the flowers

Passed the people

Passed the clouds

Passed the lovers kissing one more time

Rivers flow

Rivers flow

These sources of life

These mirrors of beauty

Wonders of fun

Masters of destruction

These pathways of dreams waiting

Waiting while they’re used

Waiting while they’re bruised

Waiting while in motion

To their promised destiny

To the promise of the sea

Rivers flow

Rivers flow

And there they gathered

By the vastness of tomorrows

Welcomed by the sunset of a moment

In the distance clouds of truth

Rivers cried

Rivers cried

Music only

Even rivers have too much to bear with all the abuse they have received for eons.

Martin a beautiful poem, the river flows, and with it, our hopes and dreams but one day it will return to its source, its destiny, as will we. I loved this very much.

      My best to you.

Shall we gather at the river, the beautiful, beautiful river ... I am always so intrigued as to why you for the most part write about water, rivers, streams and such ... lovely poem ... carries one away.

      Up and more and sharing

      Hugs, Faith Reaper

This is awesome, Martin. I think the rivers cry because of all the crap we dump into their waters. It's a shame.
