"Rock bottom is just a solid foundation to build on..."
Always think big, but also know success takes work
So I've posted some random "hubs" recently, I figured as long as I'm entertained I might as well document the randomness that is my mind. In my random internet wandering I came upon an absurd amount of ways to "get rich quick". Anyone who's got the internet (that would include you), has encountered ads for the sights at one point or another. Yes I'm sure 99% of these are BS, but I've started learning from these nonsensical scams...
Take quick note
According to the ever-so-trustworthy world wide web, anyone can be a filthy stinkin', rich entrepreneur with just the click of a button. Obviously that's not gonna work. Unless you win the lottery or some rich relative or friend die and leave you their fortune, you(and myself) are gonna have to work for it, not necessarily hard, but SMART.
Think big, but start small
Speaking for myself, I've been up and down so many times I've lost count. I've had great jobs, lived in great houses with awesome friends, hot tub, pool table, big screens, etc... But the better the life got the quicker I'd piss it away. It's been a relentless cycle over the past ten years. But right now, I've managed to get a good job, and before I've even started they mentioned something great: within a few months I could move up to the position my degree (that has been unused and gathering dust for years) is actually for. See, start small and just be good at whatever it is that you do, and good things will come. I'm not saying any job you take is your life's purpose, there are some dead end jobs. If after a couple years of good hard work at a job you don't see any room for better pay or advancement, you might consider a change. But after getting a solid stay time somewhere your resume looks a lot more appealing for the next job (that actually could be your life's beck and call, you never know...)
Do it your own way
I'm not writing this sh** down saying I'm an all knowing god and if you do it this way you'll be successful, living in some mansion in Beverly Hills. I'm just sharing my view on life. I've deserved everything good in my life, but I've also deserved most of the sh** sandwiches thrown in my face. Something that I strongly believe is you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES. Or hell learn from mine, or learn from others' mistakes. Just never stop learning and always take a good opportunity when it's presented itself to you.
After that rant
Just remember: "Rock bottom is just a solid foundation to build on."
