Running Wild Inside Your Forest

Updated on July 13, 2012

A forest waiting for the fire
With a desire to survive natures worst
I entered through your eyes
And found myself running wild and free
The thunder warned me to let you live
And not change God’s plan for you
I wanted to know the best of you
And the worst
I wanted to get lost inside you
And make you feel my presence
In ways that were both unnatural
And perfect
I was like no other animal
Because I didn’t live there
I was an explorer searching
Not to take
But to feel
To touch
To know
To climb down your golden falls
Around a beautiful painting
Of glowing eyes silhouetting
Surreal lines of love
And then as the rain fell
Unrelenting in its honesty
Whisking away emotional waste
Carrying me to your heart
A pool of spring water
Empty but full of promise
For the moment had come
As the trees swayed
In unison
With my passion for you
