SUNRISE OVER THE OCEAN by Lee Durmaj of Australia

Updated on November 24, 2011

To a special moment ~

Encased forever in a memory.

I awaken from my sleep

To find the smell of lavender

Coming through my open window,

I look out to see the sun rise,

It is ascending from the ocean

With beams of light guiding it

Lifting it higher and higher,

I catch my breath!

The beauty is overpowering

It is almost spiritual,

Indescribable feeling overcomes me

I am touched by this majestic scene.

I stand there watching,

A cool breeze passes,

It makes me tremble,

And powerful emotions stir deep within,

It is like I stepped into divine scenery ~

For one moment I am lost in eternity.

I stroll outside, it is beckoning me ~

To enjoy this view in all its beauty,

I feel the warmth from the sun touching me,

Inviting me to enjoy the serenity that revolves around me.

I look out to the ocean as far as the eye can see,

Waves bobbing up and down like music in a theme,

I see boats sailing in the distant breeze,

A ship is anchored far out at sea,

There is magic in this picture,

To be assured a painters dream.

I read your comment with inreetst. Yes, I would like to publish an ebook. In fact, I have a book I've written as a word document, and it is about tips for developmental reading with your child. I want to eventually publish it as an ebook. Therefore, I would appreciate any information you could share with me about how to do this. Some coaching I have received suggests that I offer it in three parts and have a fee for each. I have another one that I will eventually publish about an out of body experience that I have had. This is a very long story! I have been told by many that I should share it. I have been working on establishing some sort of residual income via on-line marketing of products, etc. but I'm not making much progress thus far. Any good ideas for me? Once again, I would appreciate any assistance you might offer. My blogs come from my heart and my desire to help others. However, I want to develop this into something bigger and better.

Your poem makes me wish that I was the one standing there, watching the beautiful sunrise over the ocean, lost in the view, while the feelings keep washing over me,like a gentle wave.

my Dear Lee, I soo appreciate this lovely picture

of the sunrise over the Ocean because

I used to live in Miami. Where the most beautiful

sunsets and rises make me think of your sparkling memories that come alive in this poem..i can smell the

lingering Magnolias flowers like it was yesterday. your

find poem has sent me back in time.

      Blessings, Nancy

Very nice. I love this line:

For one moment I am lost in eternity."
