SWEET TOMORROWS

Updated on September 8, 2012

When looking for happy,

We can be blessed.

To find it in places,

We least expect,

Smiles from a friend,

Or hugs from a child,

A nudge from a pet,

May give us a smile;

This is a Texas sunset my grandson caught on camera.

If only for a little while.

All the happiness we need,

Dropping down onto our knees,

As we look to our Heavenly Host,

Our smiling prayers will help us most;

By overcoming bitter sorrows,

Blessed hopes for sweet tomorrows.

      Hi Diana, you are absolutely right. The greatest things in life are those that come from a higher source, like you describe in your words. Love being the greatest gift of all, happy children, family and friends, a smile, a hug...that's what happiness is made of. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day :-)

      You have a good poem here. I would like for you to work on it some more. Just give it a little more thought and a small rewrite to make it into a great poem. I'm sure you can do it.
