Sacred Heartbeat (poem)
The echo of the tears upon her face
That smile which bore the passage of the years
Who knows the empty silence that she hears
Whose heart beats hope a long lost song replace
-
Whose arms can offer shelter from her fears
Who offers love across this mystic space
That time which only she now can retrace
The memories resistant to her shears
-
Oh mother bare what we should never see
A sacred heartbeat none can ever share
These echoes of a fate we hold reviled
-
Oh mother air how could this ever be
A sacred heartbeat now no longer there
For she now wears the death of her own child

This is a beautiful poem referring to the Blessed Mary and gorgeous music video at the top. This poem could also represent the loss of dear children for mothers everywhere. Up and beautiful.

Beautiful, so sad. Thank you..
Very touching and moving poem! I was reminded of Mary, the mother of Jesus, how she watched her son beaten beyond recognition and then hung on a cross to die slowly.
God bless!
