Something you said

Updated on February 18, 2014

Something you said
it's a story you keep inside the mind
everything was never told
justify the moment
it was a simple fragment of time

Wasted moments we learned to smile
lost in a world of darkness and light
piano keys keep playing all the time
beautiful melodies we rewind
treacherous endings get old

It was a story we told
left in the moments of winter
cold with regrets
forgiving the lies that were told
the deceptions where
we chose to be kind
words left unspoken
distance separates the winter
breaths that slowly disappear in
the passages of time.

Faces frozen in icicles that
fall breaking in the middle of the night.
Someone turned out all the lights
fools we've become when we
fail to see that patience
brings the blissful moments
in our lives.

Well thought out, put together and expressed. It's amazing how so many can and will relate to this. Voted up and more!
