Santa Claus is Coming
In my sleep, as I dream,
I hear sounds, my heart just leaps,
Jingling bells, sound of hooves,
I am sure it was from the roof.
With a jump, I awake,
Silently creep up to the windowpane
To my wonder and my awe,
I see Santa flying from afar.
In the sky, sparkles flew,
Lighting up the sky with gentle hues,
Through the snow and the haze,
I strain to see through the window pane.
I look real hard, blink my eyes,
I see a glorious, heavenly sight,
A smiling bearded face I see,
I see Santa waving merrily.
He smiles and blows a kiss to me.
Flies right into my chimney.
Magically Santa appears here,
Pats my head and pulls me near.
Slowly, he whispers to me,
"You have been very good,
Generous and kind,
Tomorrow a surprise you will find".
The next day morning, as I awake,
Wondering if it was all a dream,
There it was under the Christmas tree,
A heap of presents from Santa to me.
So you see Santa is real,
If you believe, truly in your soul,
Be good, be kind, be your best,
Fear not, Santa will do the rest.
