Sea Change - 2012

Updated on October 21, 2013
Source

December 12, 2012

Endless waves of pain
Crash over me again
A sea of tears I cannot cry
storm-tossed and salted with lies
there is no safe haven
no guiding light
no God in heaven
to aid this night
foresaken and alone
I dash upon the reef
a crust of dead coral
all that remains of belief

nice poem but do not be dismayed we all feel like this sometimes alone, discourage etc even as a Christian but as the song writer says we should never be discourage have we trials and temptations take it to the LORD in prayer he comes in the darkest hour. Only believe all things are possible.

How do you do it? This cuts right to the grain and one has to have been there to get the full impact of the words. It is so tragically beautiful. Voted you up++

What a beautiful poem to express how we all feel at times when things seem to hard to bear, as if we are going to sink. Amazingly, we stay afloat. Sometimes, it doesn't seem possible.

Intense and dramatic as to that pain that comes crushing down on us at times, tempting us to believe there is no one.

This was beautiful, so painful, whether physical pain or emotional, I am sure we can all sympathize, nell.

Just beautiful. I took to your poetry as soon as I ran upon it. You say so much in such few words! ^

I know this feeling well. There is a cry that cannot be expressed.
