Second Sight (poem)

Updated on November 2, 2015

To bring some peace to this my troubled mind

Amid the brisk confusion in the wind

And waves of toil spoil chances to rescind

What little hope of rest that I might find

-

A realm of shadows harbors over me

Confounds my eyes I have no will to see

To wonder through this traceless destiny

That here within these arms I’m now resigned

-

So many faceless whispers in my ear

And leave the those wasteful worries far behind

Those dreams of somewhere far away from here

Which bring a sweeter flavor to a tear

-

I wandered through these streets which had no light

I wandered through what life had so consigned

I wandered far with hope for this to find

I wandered far for what was in my sight

-

To bring some peace to this my troubled mind

And leave the those wasteful worries far behind

I wandered far with hope for this to find

That here within these arms I’m now resigned
