Seek Not, Judge Not
Seek Not – Judge Not
You cannot see beyond this mask, which strikes you as my resemblance.
You cannot judge each tiny line, which is a lie to fend off lies.
Though you may ask of me my name, of where I am from, what I do and what I feel.
These lines will work in toiless effort to spin a yarn which you can’t place.
At times you’ll witness changing moods, tears, tantrums, and silent broodings,
But you’ll not know the essence of this startling world around me.
Though you may prod, you may pry, you may sit and ponder.
These signs of mood will not disclose the pain which is inside me.
For who can feel another’s grief; though they may feel them willing too.
Who can touch another’s world when his hands are tied unto his own?
Who can understand another’s mind, when his is yet to be understood.
Who is so foolish to want something he cannot take care of.
The voice I use, the wit that flows in unchecked mirth and anger, is but a hazy camoplage for turmoils not forgotten.
Though you may judge me on my words, actions and my silence.
You’ll come no closer to this world of mine as you would to another.
And you may feel this little game does not suit your palate, and turn instead to common thoughts as I would do with you.
For each persons thoughts are their own, we have no right to seek there,
Instead we close an eye or two and whisper words of nonsense.
