Self-esteem ~a short poem by me

Updated on April 26, 2016

Darkness turned to white

My eyes opened

Don’t know what happened

There were no more tears

What I saw

In the mirror made of water

Was no longer

No longer a human

Yellow and black

Striped all around

Long and Sharp

Claws, through my fingers

I was a beast

My own protector

The clear water turned to grey

Day became night

The white turned to darkness

And I was human again.

Oooo, what a lovely poem on transformation. Or maybe shifting? Excellent job, you pulled me in on the title. It works. Two thumbs up.
