Selfish Fool
Why should I be the one
working overtime
without pay by the way
every single day
cause you are so lazy
you can’t even see
that you bring no value
to anything or anyone.
You pretend to fight
for workers’ rights
but lost your way
long ago
under all that gluttony
just about a paycheck
and mileage reimbursements.
Right now
you’re probably feeding your face
drowning your worthlessness
in beer after beer
bonding up with some hater
because that is who you are.
Nepotism galore
hiring friends
going out of your way
to hire only
boyfriends and girlfriends
just for spite,
always
the easy way out.
Hard work
foreign to your world.
You attract like souls
who are all about a dollar
doing the minimum
and all the time looking to just get over.
Others bail you out
time after time
cover for your offensive manners
and insensitive words.
Why should you ever change?
some one is always there
to fix it
while you never lift a finger.
Don’t mind me
I will keep on
trying to make up
for all you are not
working extra
and over
on meaningless work
copying records
creating meaningless spreadsheets
and proving myself.
Just praying for the day
you retire
and go away.
