Separation (poem)

Updated on March 10, 2011

My feelings surround the air

like a blanket of sweat

washed off for but moments

by a cool summer breeze.

Oceans separate me from you

so vast and wide

no boat could cross,

yet close as raindrops

falling together in time.

Much exists between us

endless flow of words

built up over time,

rushing to relate.

Time runs out

questions never asked

stories unshared,

slience.

Time apart washes away

lived moments shared.

Stranger to me

our times spent close,

nothing & all is known.
