Serenity's Key

Updated on May 25, 2011

Serenity's Key

It is what it is
and so it shall be.
Thus, acceptance today
is serenity's key.
Its not carved in stone,
as each day breaks anew,
for hope comes to life
with each dawn in debut.
Blessings abound
in the light of the day
to the heart that would seek
in a grateful array.
Yes, it is what it is
and today it shall be...
but the grateful of heart
hold serenity's key.

Something about this one said: "read me out loud." So I did, and it was jolly good fun infused with a certain meloncholy. Excellent as always, poetess.

The Serenity Prayer, One day at a time, is by far, to me, the most beautiful prayer ever written. Now, if we can learn to do that. It's a goal to reach for. Thank you Marsha. Your poetry is beautiful. You touched my heart once again.
