Shadow: A Poem

Updated on February 10, 2014

I stand guard behind you,

Letting the light fall upon your face,

As your constant companion,

I will never leave you alone in the dark,

I can't reflect your image,

But I will mirror you, always.

Clever and so much said in so few words. A great poem and voted up.

Fascinating poem - reminds me of a little one we learned as children, it began: 'I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me

And what can be the use of it is more than I can see....

So is this about a husband, or the presence of God?
