She Whispers Secrets

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

The brook speaks to me in hushed tones,

babbling with a sibilance that sharpens my ears,

and attunes my soul to the infinitesimal,

the complexity and diversity of life.

Darting sparrows ripple the water in silent pools,

their insect meals hovering above the glass,

tiny wings a humming only they can hear,

suddenly imbibed by life’s transformations.

Fronds of weeping willow

touch the water’s edge with tender heart,

a passing breeze rustling tiny leaves

and hairs on end at nature’s sweet caress.

Grasses learn toward the sun,

giving homage to the giver of life,

the orb of radiating sustenance,

and the will to grasp each moment of being.

She whispers to me,

her voice slight but melodic,

the truths of life’s secrets on her tongue,

released with loving breath, embracing.

The serenity of her will overcome my fears

and I relent all doubt to her sigh of hope,

her silent pleas of union,

and the pleasures born of surrender.

Her words are seductive, emotional,

and her sweet breath like the truth of ages,

secrets of balance and eternal bliss,

finding my heart and infusing me with the same hope.

I am won.

I have spent many hours sitting on the bank and observing exactly what you wrote. IT makes me ache for water and the promise of those secret murmurings.

I definitely will QudsiaP1. I do spend a lot of time writing for Hubpages and often I run out of time for keeping up with reading. Wish there were 30 hours in the day, but I'd probably run out of time just the same. Thanks again for reading and taking the time to comment.

      Beautiful as always.

Congratulations for winning the hubbie award, I do hope you can stop by my hubs sometime, if you ever have the time. :)
