She believed in death

Updated on September 19, 2009
~ And winter came too soon, and will the flowers die; Bow down their heads under the cold, cold sky? In a world going blind, who can expect me to see the pain that I caused? ~ Draconian : seasons apart

i believe i am taking a time out since school is starting on the 26th of September. I might be out of this blessed place for a while, but until i have time for myself, school, and poetry it might take a little while before i check in. Yeh i know school takes most of our time but what can we do, There are priorities in life:D

I promise to keep on writing in my Journal and i will publish my poems if i get any time to do so.

Hope you enjoy this:D

Treacherous silence before the final raid, peace won’t last

Another broken vase lies under a roof ready to blast

She sat squatting on the cold floor savoring the oblivion

How wrongful it was for her to express her own opinion

A faint light of tears reflect on perfect tiles

Every beat of their hearts cause a tide of lies

The cheek of hers has lost its hue centuries ago

As she watched the heavenly light faint and go

The restricting shackles that tie her down to that land

Are rusty yet they won’t break. She’s unable to stand

She looks down at the broken rose that lies under her

She stares eyes weary, walking towards death’s lair

She called for the fates to change her fate and make it fair

When she was silenced, she sang mutely the little verses

Death turned out to be her mistress after she turned homeless

Broken, on the floor she has learned to love the dark. She believed,

Death was the solution. it was the only way for her pain to be released

And those verses she sang

As the death bells rang

“A death rose is worth waiting for its arrival deadly millennia or two

Black and demonic in its presence petals twist like how my veins used to

Humans, scared life vales have bled around your scattered thorns crimson blood

Many worthless souls have been sold yet your essence makes my verses flood

Fragrance smelling of death and rotting corpses oh so exquisite

From the land of the dead she rises, a place I’m so eager to visit

Petals all in black like a warlord but with Aphrodite’s seductive look

Thorns deep fighting against life itself sharpened thorns like a hook

Scars of life run up and down your body just like mine

Black grew bringing death, the starting of a different timeline”

Heal my vulnerable heart before it breaks

Steady my body when the world shakes

Blessed by death love holds the rose. I really enjoyed the feelings I felt while reading this piece of perfection. Voted you as high up as they would allow and very beautiful.

thanglynn07 , i think we really share many things in common. But to top the list we share our humanity, uniqueness, will to live, and our great selves! Always a pleasure to be a fellow friend !

You've captured my very inner thoughts...I can relate to being bounded and broken for so long...Shackles held me as a prisoner under the captivity of my very own sanity. This really hit home for me...

Your poetry is dangerous to the senses - I'm intoxicated in all parts. Thanks for sharing. Too bad about school, but I guess you have to put things in perspective. You will be missed, my friend :D

Uriel, this poem is fierce! I understand with school, it is just a motivation stealer, nearly one year left and I am done! Beautifully written work, and Uriel, please keep writing. You do this so very well -hugs-
