True Story: She had the Patience of a Saint
It was Saturday morning 3 March, 2012 and I was on my way to a Tony Robbins seminar in Croydon, London. Tony Robbins is a famous motivational speaker who Coaches presidents, The rich and Famous, professionals, young people etc.
I checked directions for where I was going online and it seemed pretty straight forward but as I go to a road close to the venue, I couldn’t see the name of the road I was going. I asked a gentlemen if he knew where the road was (He was standing taking donations for salvation army) He pointed in the direction I should go and then a woman passing by stopped. She must have heard us and volunteered to walk me through the shopping centre towards the exit I needed.
It was such a relief because I was late and thanked her so many times. However, as we walked on, the Mayor of London – Boris Johnson was also in the Shopping Centre. I thought “wow, – great opportunity to take his photo.” So, I asked the woman if she didn’t mind me taking a photo of the Mayor. She seemed okay. I thought I’d be able to find my way from there. Little did I know that while I was taking photos, she patiently waited for me. Lol.
Boris shaking hands of customers. (Not a clear photo as I took it in a hurry...)
I was so surprised and apologised. She smiled and walked me to the exit, while chatting and I thanked her again as she left. I was thinking to myself, that I had someone go out of their way to guide me to where I was going and I was busy taking photos. Aaawh, she must have understood.
I enjoyed the Tony Robbins Seminar. He wasn’t there in person. They taught us a few things and talked about the seminar in May 2012 in ExCeL London. http://upwlondon.co.uk/
