Shivering Howls Stormy Night

Updated on January 9, 2016

Shivering Howls Stormy Night by Diana Pierce

Fierce, mighty winds so strong,

Make an hour seem so long.

Shivering howls will soon release,

Sounds that wake a sleepy beast,

Panic will alert emotional thrills,

As coyotes holler beyond the hills,

Leaving an illusion of who is who,

Frightened dogs are barking too.

If that’s not enough to stand up hair,

Screams from an owl echo out there,

Leave dark of night, bring light of day,

Storm, will you please just go away.

Thank you, Venkatachari. It seems we have been having quite a few stormy nights lately.

Great description of the stormy night- enough to raise the hairs.
