Shores Of Words (tanka)

Updated on May 21, 2013

Sunset had returned

On all that could have been done

In some other place

By ones who were not landlocked

On the sunny shores of words

Your few words work - meaningful, and in reflection -landlocked reflects where it was the norm to be - while dismissing other damaging aspects of a relationship

You are such an inspiration. I have not messed around with the tanka in a very long time. Thanks for reminding me of this form.

Yes, words. They can take you to so many places, then you return to reality when you close the cover. Excellent!
