Sidewalks of Life - a Poem and a Testimony

Updated on August 27, 2015
A sinner saved by GRACE

Going down the same road again and again

Didn’t prepared me that I’ll be born again

I was so used to the havoc of life

That I was even able to sleep well at night

I was the first though no one I told

Good works and self-righteousness, I was taught to hold

Through the same vain routine of my life,

Through the hopeless strive to win a lost fight

Every moment of trying to fit in,

To a world of people blinded with sin

It was a rotten pile of offenses,

Everyone bathe in their own brokenness

Then on the seemingly tiring walk of life,

A Savior came on my darkest night

John 14:6 - Jesus the only way :)
John 14:6 - Jesus the only way :)

Blind before, though not physically

I was now given sight to see;

Sin was made clear to me

A sinner now redeemed

Not by works not even by myself

Not by my religion that only trapped me in a shell

It was only through JESUS, the son and the Savior

The one who called me by name,

The one who saved me from eternal danger

ALL Glory is to GOD
