Silence of His Mind (poem)

Updated on September 5, 2014

In the silence of his mind

As he leaves this world behind

For a place a bit more kind

For this cause he is resigned

Never was a love so true

Bright tomorrows in their view

In those eyes a Joyous dew

Every kiss a hope anew

Something missed he didn’t mind

Something hid away from view

Something mid their Joyous dew

Something evil there resigned

Testing this a love so true

Shadows struck them from behind

With strains pains and such a kind

Every kiss wrought trails anew

From this world she was resigned

Eyes shed dew another kind

From her love not far behind

In the silence of his mind

You won me over with your first line. A gem of a poem.

Absolutely beautiful. I hope one day to find love like this. Thank you for another great poem from the heart.
